More About Sandy:
Professional artist, Sandy Maudlin, has been teaching Watermedia for over 30 years and teaches workshops throughout the states and in Europe. Formerly an elementary art teacher, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Indiana University and is a Signature Member of both Watercolor Society of Indiana and Ohio Watercolor Society. Sandy has been awarded numerous Best of Shows, including the Gold Medal from both Sandy has won numerous awards and Best of Shows and holds signature membership in both Ohio Watercolor Society Show (OWS) and Watercolor Society of Indiana (WSI). She also served as president for the Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society for three years. Besides teaching, Sandy also juries and judges art shows throughout the country. Most recently her work has been focused on exploration of surface treatment with Watermedia as well as perfecting her own special batik process using Fluid Acrylics, Yupo, and tape. Sandy also enjoys sharing her knowledge with other artists by teaching workshops overseas as well as holding weekly classes in her studio located near Cincinnati, OH.
Her hope is that artists in her workshops will not only learn wonderful, new techniques as they create beautiful masterpieces, but will also be inspired and motivated to explore all the possibilities they can discover about making good art.
